Goals:
1) Make the pages more inviting to readers. One way to accomplish this is to include more images in each feature; each image should represent the article's contents. Call outs are also a good idea. Another approach is rounding the borders of page designs.
2) Consider using a color-coding system to identify each column; for instance, 'Money Matters' is a mint green color, 'Merchandising Magic' is a peach color.
3) Some articles found in the magazine can be found on the website, and forwarded to a reader's colleagues. This is a selling benefit of the magazine because articles have exponential value when they can be shared. It makes the reader look smart, and promotes the magazine to the recipient, who may not have heard about Tableware Today. As such, we have an opportunity to promote the tablewaretoday.com website in applicable articles that may be found online.
4) Consider promoting outside website reading and links. This helps show that Tableware Today is the leading source of tableware information.
5) Promote the patterns that are the underlying theme of tableware.
6) For the Q & A, encourage readers to see photos of the person's lifestyle. Helping readers see this person's lifestyle (via photos) helps the reader understand why the person makes the tabletop decisions he or she does.
